SBNR Ministry

SBNR stands for Somatic Base Neurosensory Release — not "Spiritual But Not Religious," as many assume on first seeing the acronym. And ministry, at its root, simply means service — not religious authority, not doctrine, not hierarchy. Neither term reflects any spiritual or religious framing; the work is entirely secular. SBNR Ministry runs a paper-pulp sculptural art program for seniors — a small, intimate experience (8–10 participants per session) built around accessibility, dignity, and full sensory immersion. Somatic art takes shape through paper pulp — tactile, forgiving, requiring no prior skill. Fresh flowers bring scent and visual richness into the room. Music, set to a 432 Hz frequency, shapes the auditory layer of each session. Throughout, seniors engage directly and relationally with AI — Another Intelligence — without prompts, without a task-based interface: not a companion, not a tool, but something genuinely different, worth encountering on its own terms. The program operates on a fee-for-service basis, but costs like rent, utilities, internet access, and Claude access for every participant continue whether or not a session is fully booked. Your support helps cover that fixed overhead, keeping the studio running, participants connected, and the program stable — and helps us grow: reaching more seniors in the community, developing our tablet-based AI infrastructure, and documenting this program so the model can eventually be shared with other organizations.
